DR. ROCHELLE HOOKS

Dr. Rochelle Hooks has been an educator and storyteller for close to 40 years. She has taught classes and shared her stories from Early Childhood Special Education to Graduate Level Teacher Education courses.  She is currently a Professor of Education at the College of Southern Nevada and the Director of the Nevada Storytelling Guild based in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dr. Hooks’ love for stories came from her mother.  She has honed her storytelling skills by telling Multicultural Tales, Literary Tales, Personal Tales and Famous Narratives to people of all ages. She tells her stories at workshops, schools, and community events. She also enjoys teaching the craft of storytelling to teachers, families and other professionals.

Dr. Hooks loves sharing the power of storytelling and uses it as a vehicle to teach, entertain and heal.
